Hi, The engineers seemed to start the Jaws installation without installing a graphics driver. That is the mistake! I haven't done a fresh install for at least two years and the old thing was getting a little sluggish. This is why I decided to format. I'm by no means an expert, so I did a little research on the net. I needed=20 my girlfriends eyes for a lot of the process, but it went something like this. 1. Set the bios so that load from cod is the first thing that the computer=20 does. 2. Put the Windows disc in and it loads from disc. Part of the process is=20 an option to format the hard drive. 3. Once Windows was loaded, we installed the mother board drivers, then the=20 sound and graphics drivers. 4. Next, we started loading the programmes I want, starting with Jaws and=20 including firewall and anti-virus. Once Jaws was on, I could work on the=20 machine alone. 5. Then I set up my internet connection and downloaded the Windows up-dates. 6. Over the next couple of days, I messed with the settings until I had it=20 set up the way I want. I'm surprised that your so-called engineers had so much problem if a guy with little experience helped by a girl with next to no experience of=20 computer maintenance can do it. Still, I must have done something wrong for=20 Jaws to be mis-behaving, although I think this is down to the messing over=20 the last couple fo days. If all else fails, I can always do a system=20 restore to a couple of days ago.
