Robin, I do hope you get an answer. A friend of mine has just bought a Sony
laptop and is having the same problem. She will get sighted help. I didn't
realise that every laptop has a different keyboard layout. Window 7 she tells
me is a new learning curve. Good luck

Ron

Subject: [jaws-uk] Firing up a new laptop

Hi,

Hopefully a new Toshiba l450-188 laptop will have been delivered to me
when I get home tonight. Can anyone tell me if when I take it out the
box and fire it up, will I be able to stick a jaws CD in it to get
started, or will I need sighted help to initialize the machine with a
name etc?

Kind regards,
