Steve,

OK, many thanks. I'll get on the phone on Monday.

I'm not sure what's happened in the last few years but I'm sure that I
always used to get a notification of my SMA renewal date about a month
before it was due to expire. This doesn't appear to be happening these days
and it's a bit of a painful experience if you miss the correct date. Don't
worry, George, I'll mention this to Sight & Sound as well when I phone or
maybe Mervyn would be willing to clarify the current situation for everyone
on the list.

Cheers,

Jamie

Hi all,

I posted this a wee while ago but haven't seen any replies as yet. Any
thoughts out there?

Jamie

Hi everyone,

I realise that this is about the beta version of Version 9 but has anyone
any idea when the estimated release date is for the final version - maybe
Mervyn?

Last time I nearly got caught out with not having an available upgrade on my
SMA and I want to make sure that I don't run the risk of getting caught this
time. Equally, I don't want to be spending my hard-earned dosh too early!

Incidentally, with the ILM version of authorisation, how certain can we be
that the information about available upgrades that is displayed in the
"About..." menu option in Jaws is actually accurate? I know that with the
old authorisation system, it was sometimes possible to be told one thing
here but the reality be something quite different.

Any thoughts are gratefully received.

Jamie

Hi All,

According to Eric Damery, JAWS for Windows 9.0 Public Beta 1 will be posted
during Monday, October 1, and I assume the What's New will also be posted on

that date.

As an aside, there is already some JAWS 9.0 documentation available at
http://www.freedomscientific.com/fs_support/doc_screenreaders.asp
