Steve,

Some further info ...

When I spoke to FS they said it was the Office version and told me it was
fixed in version 1710. However, I seem to have no access to the V1710
update.

On the office front apparently there are different versions depending on
what released channel you are on.  This means that different sets of Office
2016 users will have different experiences with JAWS and office but as a
user you are not in control of the released channels.

I have the latest version of Office 2016 available to me and  it's Version
number: 1709, Build number: 8528.2147.

JAWS 2018 was publicly released yesterday and I decided to install it.
Although the problem wasn't fixed.

I now have a beta update installed to JAWS 2018 and the problem is fixed. I
believe it's due for public release in the next few days.

Hope this is useful.

Best - Sue.

Hi Sue

You must have some kind of advanced access to that I have just tried and
have been told that I have the latest version 4321. I'll have to wait awhile
to get mine sorted.

It would appear the new JAWS update 18.0.4350 fixes the problem. Have just
installed the new update and the auto complete is back working properly or
at least so far so good!
Best - Sue.

I don't think I'll bother with uninstalling the current version for such a
small bug. Afrter all it works but just doesn't tell you.

VFO and Sight & Sounds answer to everything is uninstall and reinstall
either the current version or a previous version. You might as well do that
before contacting them.

FYI - for any of you who have the auto complete function not working
correctly.

Sue

This issue has been identified by Freedom Scientific as a bug in the current
release.

The fix for this is currently being tested and we hope it will be released
in the October update to Jaws 18.

In the meantime you could uninstall Jaws including the shared components and
reinstall the previous version:
