Hello Tristram,

I had already done so prior to posting and found it resident in:

c:\Program files\Freedom Scientific\Jaws\9.0\fsATProxy.exe

It is listed as an application and has a size of 54 KB

Cheers,

Clive.S

"Can anyone tell me what the JAWS executable 'fsATProxy.exe' does and
why
it is present in the list of 'Start-up Programs' "

Despite what the filename might imply this is not a JAWS component from
Freedom Scientific that I know of. You may want to do a bit more
research and find out where it is running from, and get some idea what
poduct it relates to and then to make a decision whether it needs to run
automatically or not.

Regards.
