I managed to catch Abdul the young man who set it up he said Yes it should scan all and it doesnot need tobe connected to the Internet. I asked again about that bit of extra software you need even if you buy a selfpowered external Drive, it is called Bounce, that it was wrong first time was I think he did the wrong setting. he is a nice youngman works for The Guru mr Jamil, Now mr Jamil is newly voted Town councillor he will have to act with moral Turpitude tiddy No wrong word never mind you know what I mean. By the way on the anti-virus subject Abdul confirmed he uses Nod32 but in the office Mr Jamil uses AVG free version and says it is very good. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tiddy Ogg" <oggy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Dorothy, unless you can get Kaspasky's interface to talk to you there's no way of knowing, unless you can put your ear to it to hear it running. I'm sure the default is to check all drives, but as this was added after Kasparski was installed, it may not know the external drive is there. -----Original Message----- From: jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jaws-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dorothy Ingram-Gorban Sent: 13 June 2008 22:01 To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jaws-uk] External drive and autoscan Hi list, This week I had my external self powered western Digital drive set up it had needed an additional bit of software called Bounceback, well it sounds like that this eveing Kaspersky did its weekly full system scan, mercifully it did not screech Trojan like last Friday. However can anyone tell me will the scan scan both drives internal and external please? I get little feedback from Kaspersky I only know it is running by Insert and F11 and arrow right or left, System Tray will say Kaspersky scanning. so will it have scanned both drives please? I know some of you are using external drives so please how do I know the whole system is clean Dorothy
