For example, if you want to check for empty columns, go to the top row and move across to the right a column at a time. Each time you move across press END followed by Down Arrow. If it goes all the way to row 65536, then you know it is blank. Then press END followed by Up Arrow to get back to the top of the column. Repeat the process as you move to the next column. If the focus goes to anywhere other than row 65536, it is not a blank column. Hope this helps.
