All,

thanks to everyone who has responded. The Edit/Fill does indeed do as I
wish. Basically select the blank cell next to the cell with the
formula, press control+E for edit, Press I for fill, and if the cell you
want to copy the formula to is on the right of the cell containing the
formula, press R for right. Conversly if the cell you want to copy the
formula to is below the cell containing the fomula, press D for down and
vice versa.
If you wish to copy a series across or down a spreadsheet, such as 1 2 3
etc type 1 2 3 in the first three cells, and select all the cells you
wish the series to fill, including the first three. You can easilly do
this by selecting the first cell and pressing F8 to turn on selection
mode, then use the arrow keys. Then press control+E for edit, I for
fill, and then S for series. Tab through the dialog box and select
Trend, and ensure either row or column, depending on which one you want
is selected and click ok, job done. There are more options I have to
explore using the fill feature, and will save them for another time.
Hope that helps.

Dave

Dave:

I have already seen a couple of answers on the list, but I think that
you may be talking about copying a cell with a formula in it down a
column or across a row to replicate that formula in either the column or
row - is this correct?
If so, I will go through it with you.

David

Hi All,

A useful feature in Excel, using a mouse, is left clicking on the bottom
right corner of a cell or range of selected cells that contain a series
of numbers, dates or formula and dragging them either down or across the
spreadsheet. This is very useful if the cells contain formula, as the
cell co-ordinates automatically change in the formula. Can this be done
using the keyboard via JAWS keystrokes?
Any help much appreciated.

Dave
