Yes I realise that actually I did not notice the bulk of Sent Items on the laptop had gone at all it was only when I wanted to see what I wrote to the Engineer re the Landslip and others I started to arrow down and Lo and behold only four days on it at first I thought they maybe in the Deleted but no they are Duplicated Jaws and I have in fact deleted them, I was more preoccupied in trying to get Screamer back after she fiddled with it, I had a little message from her at College remember? Stroll down and then stroll up" had I know the sent items list gone for a Burton I would not have been worrying about Screamer she meant well,Whatever Beepo is she hoped to collected mail from it, they should have a phone in her home by now incidentally at West Kent College she saw Jaws on a computer. how can you refuse Tiddy when they say " may I just turn Jaws off for a few minutes? Ok in future I will say No use Forms blasted Mode Dorothy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tiddy Ogg" <oggy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Dorothy, the only hope you have of getting those files back is if your
little helper remembers what she did with them... And if they're
deleted, then you've lost them.

ILM is the Jaws internet-driven licence key thing which recent versions
of Jaws use. You must have it already or Jaws wouldn't work for more
than 40 minutes at a time.

If this file you found in My Documents is a Jaws installation file, then
there's no point in running it, and it's left over from when you last
installed Jaws. You can keep it safe, if you wish, in case you lose
Jaws and have to install it again.

And if you're going to let that girl near your machine again, insist
that she leaves everything as she found it.

thanks George, actually the laptop is almost empty having had it
cleaned
off to rid me of imbedded Freeserve, so lots of space, I know the
young
girl really came to observe Jaws since her Dad is going blind, and also

her big sister who had a baby is having tests since Grandparents had
sight problems, no one has given them a firm Diagnosis, it was silly of
me
to let her turn Jaws off, and muck up Screamer radio, I have finally got

Screamer back just by experimenting. I did not find in Deleted items
the
missing Emails in the Sent items, and they were not in the Bin, I
looked
in my Documents and there is something odd says Ilm and is to do with a
package for Jaws I have aborted the download on it, I have Jaws 9 and

fully patched if I go through the Routine you know Help and up to
downloads it checks and says I am fully up to date, I think somehow Jaws

has something to do with Office in the Ilm and Power Point, I have
never
had Power Point, I think also Ms Updates tried to give me that
Silverlight thing. I found it in Windows updates in Control Panel and
got
it back in the box on Desktop not so sure on laptop I do not think I
need
silverlite unless you say so. I see on laptop no more have vanished
from
Sent items and there 5 days of Sent Emails, she will try to call on
Monday, I think by tidying up my folders she did not want me to have
too
many in one folder as I do on Desktop, , Ah just remembered what it says
in
My Documents on laptop it says Jaws Folder and when I try to open the
installation, but if I have Jaws 9 already installed on laptop, why
should
it want to do another reinstall, On my Desktop I do have JFW 8 and
nine, on
Laptop only fully patched 9, what is an Ilm?it it goes on about a
Wizard
to set up Jaws if I have confused you George I am sorry, do you think it

could be Url? .The laptop does not have the Driver Problem with Lunar
that
is the Desktop. and although I have been sent a Patch I have not
attempted
putting it on if they at dolphin got it wrong I shall lose all sound,
Desktop has the Independent Video Card, and then we get into Interceptor

ground and DCM and I am not in the mood for that just yet Dorothy

A couple of myths to correct.

1) System Restore will not get back delete files or
messages.

2) There is no actual time limit on System Restore Points.
This feature is controlled by how much space on your disk
you allocate on your disk drive to the process, plus just
how large your system is generally.

George.

I believe restore points are saved for two months. You
should have tried to
correct the problems she caused rite after you discovered
them. If you have
put any programs on your computer after the time you wish to
restore the
computer they will be lost and they must be reinstalled. I
don't know about
e-mails however. You can always unrestore system restore if
you don't like
it's results. I am writing from America, but don't you
oover there in
England have volunteers who can come and help with such
things? If you feel
uncomfortable trying to restore your computer yourself,
couldn't you call
those volunteers?
