Sorry Roger, Can't be much help as I'm on W2K not XP, but you could try
looking anyweher on XP where things are explicitly started on reboot, e.g. the
startup submenu on the start menu.

Regards,

Tim

Hi Tim,

With thanks; I'll have a look. But if I haven't got such a disc, do you know
how I can get rid of the message?

Cheers

Roger

Roger,

Creative is the manufacturer of a range of sound cards, e.g. Sound-blaster etc.
I haven't come across the "Creative Volume Control", but if you have a
sound-card from Creative which came with an installation CD, maybe its on there.

Regards,

Tim

Hi,

I'm getting a message on startup which says, Cannot load application. Please
reinstall. I've had a look on the Windows Xp disk, and it isn't there. Can
anyone tell me what it is, and where it is. With thanks

Roger
