Hi Angela,
 
Actually the files are not "stored" in "My Recent
Documents", but rather they are simply "listed" there.
 
If you right click on files in this list, and select
Properties (or r) you will be able to see where the files
are actually stored by looking at the Location in the
General Tab of the dialog that comes up.

          Hi Jim, 

          A couple of the files are currently stored in the
'my recent documents' menu, rather then the 'my documents'
menu.  I don't know why this is, but I can't seem to delete
files there, or change their names. 

          Other files, I have had to search for, using the
'ssearch for' function.  I have found what I want there. 

          Is that enough information?  I can try to find out
more...

                  Hello listers, 

                 

                  Now on my third attempt of sending you
this message, I hope this one makes it!  Just a couple of
questions, further regarding creating new folders. 

                 

                  A couple of listers very kindly gave me
instructions, not so long ago, on how to create a new
folder, and to paste a file into it from within the 'my
documents' menu.  I have successfully done this, and now
want to broarden my scope. 

                 

                  I need to locate some files, saved
elsewhere in another menu.  How can I locate these files,
then, transfer them to my new folder in the 'my documents'
menu? 

                 

                  Appologies for my seemingly simple
questions.  I would appreciate any assistance and/or advice
from fellow listers, and do ask also for your patience...
