[jaws-uk] Can anyone help, please

I am using Jaws 7.0, on a Toshiba laptop, with a wireless keyboard, so it is
set for desktop use. The problem is, the cursor won't move, so I am unable to
arrow up and down lists, etc. Do I have to disable the cursor on the laptop,
in order to use the remote keyboard? If so, how do I do that.
