a friend of mine has recently installed jaws 7 and since then his machine is running very slow, any ideas? ----- Original Message ----- From: <tim.pennick@xxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, May 12, 2006 2:01 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Bugs in jfw 7.10.352? Adrian, Same environment as you except I don't have SP2 yet, I'm noticing the same repeated first and last entries in for instance, the inbox of Outlook. Strangely, I hadn't actually realised that this functionality had changed, and I think that probably some earlier versions of JAWS did this, but just having tried version 7.0, arrowing up past the top entry in a list results in silence rather than a repeated entry. I'm not sure which I prefer really, and I think I'd rather it said "top of list" or something similar, or just issued a tone. I can't reproduce your Braille display anomaly, though I am having lots of problems with support for Braille in all version of the Beta so far tried. I've passed these on to FS. I seem to be having a couple of unexpected behaviours in the latest build of jfw 7.10.352 beta. Can anyone else confirm? Within outlook folders when on the first or last item attempting to arrow beyond this item, EG up arrowing when at the top of the list, or down arrowing when at the bottom of the list, the last item is repeatedly announced. In previous versions include jfw 7.0 speech silenced or I think depending on verbosity settings could say top/bottom of list as applicable. Braille Options: Under jfw options menu, Braille, the default braille display is announced as non although the installed display is functioning as normal EG as if it were the default and is being announced as active. This is the same display which was correctly identified as default in the previous build and which is still being announced as default in erlier installed versions including 7.0 Can anyone confirm or otherwise on xp pro sp2 or alternatives. ?
