I had a problem with my laptop yesterday when I told it to restart after it downloaded updates. It failed to come on and I didn't know whether there was a message on the screen. Had to enlist sighted assistance, when the message was that I should take it to restore. This we did and all was fine. However, just wondered if a braille display would have read the screen in that case.
