  Hi.

yes it should. Unless Jaws has frozen completely. As a braille display gets
information passed on from the screen reader, it won't work if Jaws crashes.

But, very handy if your sound settings go screwy, or you just want to mute
jaws speach.

  Cheers
  Darren

    Hi, Folks,

I have never used a braille display, but am wondering if it would read the
screen when Jaws fails to talk.

I had a problem with my laptop yesterday when I told it to restart after it
downloaded updates. It failed to come on and I didn't know whether there was a
message on the screen. Had to enlist sighted assistance, when the message was
that I should take it to restore. This we did and all was fine. However, just
wondered if a braille display would have read the screen in that case.

    Best wishes,

    Joan.
