thank you Tiddy. I think I confused something windows and M to maximise I do all the time I think that Windows and N for Norman is the stroke that brings the active window to the front and indeed all the space and x is restore. I will give them all another go, but I wonder why the problem is occurring, hate say it but it a relief that it is known to others. May I put in a little additional question, Tony took of Messenger he said it takes a lot of memory and you do not use it. To be honest I am not sure in which circumstances I would use it. I know I kept it at bay for ages as it kept on nagging at me that Windows Messenger had not been activated. I am not aware of ever having used it. I do not eve know what hot mail is. A lot of people who send emails say they use Hot Mail is that Webmail? ----- Original Message ----- From: "TIDDYogg" <oggy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, April 08, 2006 4:19 PM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: Barbera I will try it > You could always try alt + tab to put the original window back on top, if > another has come up. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "dorothy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" <User@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Saturday, April 08, 2006 11:43 AM > Subject: [jaws-uk] Barbera I will try it > > > Andrew said to do Windows and M to maximiseand then close Lunar Window > that > didn't work another on the list said do ALT and space and x to > restore, that > I think it not restore anyway is it, I thought it brought the active > window to the fore front, yours is different in that you do restore by > down arrow, I will try anything I can tell you thanks for you help. > Dorothy > Ps Do you know why it happens? > > > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- > ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] > ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: > ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > ** and in the Subject line type > ** unsubscribe > ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the > ** immediately-following link:- > ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] > ** or send a message, to > ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq > > > > > -- > No virus found in this incoming message. > Checked by AVG Free Edition. > Version: 7.1.385 / Virus Database: 268.4.0/304 - Release Date: 07/04/2006 > > > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- > ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] > ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: > ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > ** and in the Subject line type > ** unsubscribe > ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the > ** immediately-following link:- > ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] > ** or send a message, to > ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq > > ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** jaws-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
