Hi,

I went into Avast, via the system tray and disabled skins. Once I did this, when openining Avast I was able to perform a scan using the simple user interface. When the thing about memory test appears, you can just click cancel and (after you have disabled skins) you should be able to use the product more easily.

Hope this helps.

Kevin

With sighted help to read the Captcha thingy I registered the brute.
Activating the desktop icon tells me it's the splash screen and it does
a memory test.
It then apparently displays the simple user interface
But all the PC cursor will say is "Dummy check box unchecked"
(Checking it makes no difference, there's nowhere to go thereafter.)
All the Jaws cursor will say is "Simple User Interface dialogue."

Using Jaws 7.0
I'll try Jaws 9 if you think it'll make a difference.
Thanks.
