Thanks Phil but it's not that. I've done a bit more cross-checking = between 510 and 7.0 and found that both will not read the top level menu = items and both announce 'No Font' when I check with Insert+f. When I = down arrow into the sub-menu items, 5.10 reads them as I move down, 7.0 = does not. Both announce the font on the sub-menu items as 'font is = underline Microsoft Sanserif 11 point'.. Both versions read the = sub-menu item when I do a Say Line, so the mystery continues.
