Hi Pete,

I haven't' been able to do any tests on Carol's laptop, or ask her to test
things yet, but when I'm typing on my desk top machine, e.g. this message,
the initial pronunciation is in American English, but if I need to delete a
letter for editing purposes, or read the message character by character
using control and arrow keys, or I read the message by doing a Say all, the
pronunciation is in British English.

I took a look at my computer's set-up just now, and although the windows
install language is set to United States, the local is set to United
Kingdom, I don't know if that makes any difference to the way JFW behaves, I
may ask Sight and Sound support that question if you don't decide to ask
them first.

I hope you manage to get the problem which started this thread sorted.
