Joan
Insert q would not make the script work, it just announces what settings an=
d application are currently being used. What does Insert q say when you ar=
e in the Ad-aware program? If it doesn't say anything about Ad-aware setti=
ngs being loaded, then you haveen't got the scripts ready for use by Jaws. =
 =20

In order for a script to work it has to be compiled and the way to do this =
for Ad-aware is to open up the Ad-aware program, then press Insert F2 to op=
en the JFW Manager dialog box, arrow down to Script Manager and press enter=
. This should open up the Ad-aware.JSS file containing the script commands=
. If the .JSS file is empty, then you have not got the Ad-aware script fil=
es in the correct folder for Jaws to use, so find out where the files are a=
nd move them to the right place. If the file contains commands, then pres=
s Control s to compile the script and you should hear Jaws say 'Compile Com=
plete' . Exit the Script Manager using Alt F4.

Now exit Ad-aware and restart it again, then do Insert q and see if it saye=
s anything different to what it did before. It should tell you the Ad-awar=
e scripts are loaded and the current application being used is Ad-aware.

Cheers
Chris

Tried insert Q, Chris, but scripts still don't work.

Had no bother like that with Jaws 6. I deliberately didn't merge 6 with 7 a=
s=20
I know I've had problems merging before, so I just put them into 7 manually.

Thanks for your help.

Best wishes,

Joan.
