Actually, not all uses of bit torrent are illegal. Websites use torrents to distribute their material to cut down on the bandwidth load. For example, several linux distros are optionally available via torrent and this is perfectly legal.

torrent programs are not bad. It's always in the hands of the user waht they are used for.

quite good on your character you don't know torrent files. They're well illegal!

On saying that they're really good if you want albums or films for nadda. I know we shouldn't, but stuff for free rocks.

A really good one that works with jaws is isohunt. Just google isohunt and you'll be away. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jamie Cuthbertson" <jamie.cuthbertson@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi there,

Apologies for my ignorance on this one but what is a Bit Torrent programme
used for? I'm guessing that it is some kind of backup software but this is
probably tripe.

Cheers,

Jamie

Hi

Does anyone know of a really accessible bit torrent p2p application. I'm
using a quite old version of bitcomet at the moment, I did try their
latest version after being informed that it downloads much faster than my
current version but found it quite difficult to navigate.

I'm using XP pro and jaws9
Thanks
Martin
