The old hotmail interface was a bit of a pfaff but doable if you are 
determined.  I don't recall what happens with their newer interface for the 
Windows Live Mail that was in beta earlier this year.  An alternative may be 
found at www.accessiblemail.com which may be more to your liking in terms of 
accessibility.
