If you can set up the recorder and start it recording without JAWS then start
JAWS. I found this worked when using another program that had some keystrokes
the same as JAWS.

I just tried Total Recorder.
The result was the same as for other recorders. The recorder interferes with
the use of JAWS when I choose enter or arrow keys within a grid control on the
internet.
Given that I have now tried 6 different screen recorders, I am going to guess
that they all work the same way and will all have this issue.
I am thinking that I will try to make a recording by attaching a video
recorder to the auxiliary video output of my laptop. It probably means I will
have to use the video monitor on the video recorder as a screen which might be
a bit challenging but I can see no other way currently.
