Roger,

The 2 of a chemical formula like C O 2 should be in subscript. The
quickest way to do this is type the C and O and then press Control + D
to open the Font dialogue and press Alt + B to toggle the subscript
checkbox on. Press Enter to close the dialogue and type the number 2.
Then repeat the process, Control + D to open the dialogue, Alt + B to
toggle the subscript setting off, Enter to close the dialogue and you're
back in your document and ready for the next bit!

Hi list,

In a document in Word, I've got to write a couple of chemical formulas,
like, C O 2. Can anyone tell me how this is correctly done?

Cheers

Roger
