Catherine, I, like you, am just getting going on this and am using Jaws 7 with Skype 2.0. It does appear to work pretty well though I've still a lot to learn about Skype to Skype calls - Skype Out calls seem to work well though. Regarding your query about the contacts dialogue box. I noticed that the edit field name is not announced. I think that the first edit box is for entering the Skype name you want to search for. If it doesn't find a contact first time, it does appear to be worth trying again several times as I've certainly had it find a contact on the second or third attempt without changing any of the details before searching again. One other thing that took me a wee while to suss out is that to hang up, just press ESCAPE - kind of obvious when you know but it didn't seem obvious at first. Hope this helps.
