In the event, I've bodged a solution by creating an additional 'wrong-datestamp' folder and moving the offending Sent messages into it; that way, they don't always appear at the head of my reverse-date sorted display. The problem didn't arise on the incoming side, presumably because the email server set the message date rather than RO 5.13 (as it was).
