But its ok after pressing reset and rebooting again?

It might be worth setting up an obeyfile in the root directory of the 
harddisc containing:-

  PICDevices { > <Obey$Dir>.Output }

And call it something very short so you can type it blind at the F12 
prompt once its booted. Once HD activity has stopped press F12 and 
Ctrl+12 to confirm you are at the command line.
