But this is on a brand-new Iyonix X323c - purchased December 2006.  So I
should expect it to be with the latest graphics card!

It has no hardware power switch.

It is of course still under guarantee, so I may have to send it back to
Castle for a fix or repacement.

Are we talking about two separate effecrs I wonder.

I think I will take some digital photos of the screen during boot.

There must be - or unplugging the power lead would have no effect.
