You're right Alan, I won't waste my breath. Clearly there is a serious
attitude problem here that no amount of rational argument is going to
fix. Any outsider would be very quick to make the same accusations of
us, since we so insist on rejecting the correct way to do things,
pretending nothing is wrong.

So, I'll leave you Alan "sad man" Leighton, and Paul "rational" Vigay.
I'm going to take a break from RISC OS development for a while, and
excuse myself from this list, since I'm clearly not wanted. Paul Vigay
has so kindly offered to take over Firefox support, so you can contact
him about that, and ask him when a fix is due. Since you're so willing
to settle for mediocre half-arsed solutions, Paul is your man.

When I come back, I'll see if you clowns have figured out if RISC OS has
any kind of future. I look foward to hearing about the plans for a
complete Flash player, movie player and JVM. I look forward to hearing
about how RISC OS users plan to not continually undermine developers by
insisting things they say are wrong, contrary to their many years of
experience. I look forward to hearing that RISC OS users actually want
to have a better system to use, and not pretending that everything is
ok, or "good enough". I look foward to spending my time doing stuff
that is actually rewarding, and not equivalent to pushing crap up hill.
I look foward to people actually taking seriously comments I've made
about what needs to be done - agree or not - but in a proper debate.

In the meantime, if you really want to see how packaging should be done
properly, look at Linspire's CNR system.

And oh Paul, if you want to accuse me of stuff, trying referencing
things instead of making stuff up, it's much more effective.

I'll be contactable by email.
