Yes, let's.   But I'll only be repeating stuff I've said before -

It's not, for a number of reasons.  One of those is that improving
UnixLib and ChoX11 when targetting small ported applications helps other
applications, including Firefox and Thunderbird, without having to
tackle its code.

No need.  John Tytgat and I already invested considerable effort in this
more than a year ago.  Follow this, and substitute "firefox" for "wget".
This will give you an AOF-based 1.5 Firefox.  The step to building
version 2 from there is relatively small, and not relly relevant to this
list.

Porting issues are more than welcome on the GCCSDK mailing list, and are
the most appropriate forum.  I'll see you there when you have more
questions, and you've built the 1.5 Firefox.

Of course.  But the point is, I agreed with it more than 3 years ago,
and spent considerable time and effort to address these very points.
But little has been done to make use of these facilities.
