I think if you go into DPlngScan iconbar menu -> choices and click on
Memory, you can then set a higher 'Max RAM' to use. The higher the
better. Mine is set at 256000K, i.e. 256 MB. It then means everything
is done in RAM, rather than dumping stuff out to disc. With my
setting of 256MB, rotating takes only about 15s for a jpeg out of my
10Mpix camera.

Hi.. I can vouch for this..
DPlngScan works VERY MUCH Faster if it doesn't have to use disc based virtual memory.
