hi

at this point.. the iyo power supply is PRIME SUSPECT. this ethernet misbehaviour is one of the earlier symptoms of a psu well out of spec.

I confirm that I swapped the computer end. The other end stayed firmly in the router. Also Ping ing the Iyo from the ARMini via the router returns Host is down - whilst Armini is still connected to the internet. Is it useful to connect the ARMini direct to the Iyo (Single cable - no router, no NAS, nothing) and try pinging?

    for the avoidance of doubt, do you still get the 'green light
    going out' on the link to the iyo with the ethernet cables from
    the back of the iyo swapped with that of the armini .. that would
    rule out router/cable issues.. swap cables at computer end, NOT
    router end
