I had a conversation with JB about this problem recently - one cause is
that a module leaves an interrupt enabled after a shutdown, and I had made
this mistake in a couple of things I've written. One possible culprit is my
"HALTimer" module, so if you're running that, try rmkilling it before
shutting down. I'll release the fixed version soon.
