I didn't either when I wasted almost a whole weekend changing router,
fiddling with MTU settings, etc., when I couldn't send big files from
RISC OS when an XP box worked, albeit slowly. To this day I am convinced
there was a problem upstream somewhere because in spite of mine and my
ISP's fiddlings it got all better by itself eventually.
I hope yours does too; I believe patience is one of the best ways for our
connections to get better after something has gone wrong.
