I was responsible for altering Memphis to use a Dynamic Area instead 
of the System Sprite area, but I've not changed the FS code 
significantly.

Short of a complete rewrite I don't think Memphis as a filing system 
is ever going to be reliable enough for Scrap. If you're concerned 
about FS integrity eg. the copy in RAM is the only one, then DON'T use 
Memphis.
