I have just tried with a ~3MB jpeg (becomes 18MB sprite). I rotated
both -90 and +90 which went very fast - about 15 seconds. I am
assuming your 90% is really 90 degree. I didn't bother to time
accurately, I was just interested in whether it was excruciatingly
slow, which it wasn't. It seems the same as before.

I also tried 60 deg. The hourglass ran 0-100 four times in all,
taking about 25 s.

I am running RISC OS 5.14 (softloaded), DPlingScan 1.24 (3 Feb 2008)
with Max RAM set to 256 MB.

There doesn't seem to be a problem here. I am not running Aemulor or
Geminus.
