Hi Jason,

I did a little work with my own SharePoint server. I'll export my HTTP filter
settings and send them to you.

Yeah exactly - I try to use the filters as much as possible on every
web app I get to publish for people

...wondered if anyone knew of someone else at MS doing the same kinda
things as Steve, but for Sharepoint. If not, maybe a nice project for me ;-)

Relevant for me at the moment as we have some customers on the Office12
TAP and we are using ISA2k6 for publishing. Kinda hate the idea of leaving the
HTTP filter as per default, but under the kosh not to break any of the new
Sharepoint v3 functionality :-)

        Hi Jason,

That paper was put together by Steven Hope and he spent many an hour
over a hot NetMon to come up with that data :)

It would be useful to have the SharePoint info, given that we have an
integrated Wizard for that now. The security story for protecting SharePoint
sites is half done without that information.

Subject: [isapros] HTTP Filters for Sharepoint

                Hi,

In a similar way to how the following document covers
recommended HTTP filters for Exchange:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/isa/2004/plan/firewall-exchange2003.mspx

<http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/isa/2004/plan/firewall-exchange2003.mspx>

Has anyone seen the equivalent recommendations for Sharepoint?

I know you have to be careful with high bit chars and
normalisation, but not seen anything else discussed...

By it's very nature, are Sharepoint HTTP filters harder to
define compared to Exchange services???

                Cheers

                JJ
