Hi Amy,

Just come across your excellent ISA material!

We were wondering whether you would know how to go about getting ISA to prompt
the end user client with a specific realm name a bit like in IIS for basic AUTH
instead of the FQDN or hostname?

We have just completed a celestix appliance(ISA2004) project and have hit a
brick wall. What I mean by that this particular client is currently using a web
3rd party proxy that has a realm name specified and all users/clients out of
the domain have a saved/cached set of credentials in IE for this realm name,
"WEBSWEEPER". We have tried naming the ISA host to WEBSWEEPER and even removed
it from the domain into its own WEBSWEEPER workgroup but a "." as you know is
always placed after the name so as far as IE is concerned it is a different
realm. The rest of this company's users are within the domain and AUTH using
IWA so they are ok but they cannot afford to change each users basic AUTH
password. Complete transparency is required.

Now I know you can do this in OWA and in IIS but from within ISA?

Maybe a case of manipulating the challenge response to change the BASIC......?

Not sure if you will read or even get this message but if anyone would know I
would say it was you as I have even spoken to a friend at MS UK and he couldn't
do it.

Your help on this would truly be priceless.

Kind regards
