You completely miss the point..... If you've taken the Microsoft Class and you've passed the Microsoft certification test for ISA, you should know what happens when you turn off the firewall service..... If you don't, then there is something EXTREMELY WRONG with you having a CERTIFICATION that says you understand how to install a product, configure a product, and support a product. My problem is with people with "certifications" that have no idea with what they are doing. People like you. May I suggest going back to your place that you took the class and getting your money back. Apparently you do not understand most of the basic functions of the software. Then go back to the testing center, slap the person behind the desk, and tell them to tell Microsoft that you passed the test without understanding anything at all, either that, or you cheated. Not saying that you did, but those are the only 2 reasonable answers that exist. -----Original Message----- From: Ara Avvali [mailto:ara@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, October 06, 2004 9:04 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: what happens if firewall service stop? http://www.ISAserver.org Your problems with other parties are not my concern and I don't need you to give me a job. -----Original Message----- From: Troy Radtke [mailto:TRadtke@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: October 6, 2004 9:46 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: what happens if firewall service stop? http://www.ISAserver.org You've taken the course AND passed the cert? Oh hell, that makes you more qualified to answer questions than me then, ya know, since I haven't sat the test yet..... And all the MCSE's wonder why we don't hire them..... I'm a little bitter today. I spent 4 hours on the phone yesterday with a 3rd party support FE who is an NT 4.0 MCSE who has NEVER IN HIS LIFE INSTALLED NT 4.0!!!! And to make it worse, he pulled out ANOTHER NIC from the system without uninstalling it first.... Bah.... Time to get some coffee..... -----Original Message----- From: Ara Avvali [mailto:ara@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, October 06, 2004 7:52 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: what happens if firewall service stop? http://www.ISAserver.org Yes I always say I am newbie because there is always room to learn. But that also doesn't mean you become rude and think you know better than others. I have done the ISA course and have my cert too. It's a while I am using it my friend. I believe every question if worth to ask as might bring up some new points. So if it bothers you dealing with this, please don't reply. -----Original Message----- From: Steve Moffat [mailto:steve@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: October 6, 2004 8:42 AM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: what happens if firewall service stop? http://www.ISAserver.org Obviously you have no idea how ISA works. I would suggest starting at the very beginning and read all you can about it before you start playing with it. Isaserver.org is the best place to start. As an example if firewalls service goes done for any reason, what will happen to connection? Is it going to cut all connections or it becomes an unprotected connection? When you install ISA it automatically disabled windows built in firewall I have. So in that case if something goes wrong then the internet faced network card becomes unprotected, right? ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist ISA Server Newsletter: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/newsletter.asp ISA Server FAQ: http://www.isaserver.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 Exchange Server Resource Site: http://www.msexchange.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this ISAserver.org Discussion List as: steve@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=isalist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx This E-Mail is confidential.
