RE: what caused DNS to die

No, the DNS server is not running on a DC.
I REALLY dont think it is a DNS issue.. Im pretty sure this is an ISA issue. 
the reason I say this is because I could NSLOOKUP from my internal network to 
that DNS server and get perfecly good resposes. but, if I tried to NSLOOKUP 
from outside, I got no response at all.
