This is not a great problem, just get your hands on ERD commander 2002
and it will let you change the password without any problems

Why do you want to access the system anyway, why not just rebuild it as
your own.

Otherwise, get in contact with them and see if they will give it too
you, not sure they will though.

I think not. Unless you want to try a password tool that just scrolls
thru all possible combinations of numbers and letters and cap. letters.
How much time do you have ? Do you know the previous owner ? If so you
can try some common password traits, but any good admin would not set
such an easy target.

Hi

I was given a notebook with w2k os installed but not the administrator
password.

Is there anyway I could recover the administrator password without
having to reinstalling the whole operating system?

Thanks,

Matin
