I think not. Unless you want to try a password tool that just scrolls thru
all possible combinations of numbers and letters and cap. letters. How much
time do you have ?
Do you know the previous owner ? If so you can try some common password
traits, but any good admin would not set such an easy target.

I was given a notebook with w2k os installed but not the administrator
password.

Is there anyway I could recover the administrator password without
having to reinstalling the whole operating system?
