Hi Farshad,

on the properties of the VPN client -> Networking Configuration -> TCP/IP
Advanced Settings there is a check box 'Use Default Gateway on Remote
Network'. When it is checked, the metric of the real default gateway (your
ISP) is changed to 2 and a new default gateway pointing to your tunnel
interface is created with metric 1. When it is unchecked, the real default
gateway is left unchanged but a route is added with the classfull network ID
of your tunnelinterface pointing to your tunnelinterface.

By the way --- very good info about MS implementation is available at
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/technologies/communications/vpn/default
.asp .

Hope this helps,
Stefaan

Hi Jay;
thanks very much for the help, I think everything is working just fine now,
but still when I do a ipconfig/all I don't get the default gateway's IP
(that is supposed to be the ISA's internal interface IP).
Farshad

Hi everyone;
whenever my vpn client connects to our LAN, he gets a local IP and the
correct DNS IP, but the subnet mask is 255.255.255.255 !! and the default
gateway given is the same as the IP address assigned to the client. I even
created dhcp relay agent in the RRAS and created an interface which is the
internal interface of the ISA server. but the same thing happens again.
Could anyone help me with this set up which would give me the right
netmask and right dhcp options?
thanks,
Farshad
