Your problem with AD groups in SurfControl may be due to the default length of 1 of the GroupName field in their database. Their default database schema only allows 50 characters for group names, while AD allows up to 65. The fix is to manually adjust the parameter for the relevant column. You can adjust it through SQL Enterprise Manager. Expand the database and find the Workstation_Groups table. Run Design Table, and change the length option for Group_Name from 50 to 65.
