If you're talking about limiting access to your SMTP server from Internet addresses, the S&C rules won't help. They're only for outbound traffic. There are two ways you can do this, though: 1. packet filters denying traffic from known spammers (difficult to manage, though) 2. client address sets applied to your server publishing rules(s) (easier to manage) Frankly, I find RBL's to be much easier to handle, since it takes the "find them" task off your firewall and places it on the mail server where it belongs...
