smtp problems with nav for gateways

Hi all,
I installed NAV for gateways on my isa server. It accepts incoming mail
from external users and send outgoing mail fine. I created a server
publishing rule for my external clients to connect to the internal mail
server (smtp,pop,imap). They can receive there mail through pop, imap
collection when they dial-up, but they are not able to send mail from an
external connection. How can i fix this problem? I think NAV and the smtp
server publishing rule clash.
