I have seen a few replies on this but felt that I needed to add my two cents
worth! We are a solutions provider company that originally some time back
used to work with CA Inoculate 4.5X, unfortunatly it does cut the mustard
anymore. Subsquently we have moved over to the Trend Micro product and have
implemented it at many client sites with resounding success. Two of the
features that I like are

1. Virus Outbreak Prevention (IMSS)- when a virus outbreak first occurs it
will download a scanning policy from the Trend site and puts this into
place. It helps to minimise the threat and protect the messaging system
until a new pattern is available (can be configured to check for updates
hourly)

2. To update a virus pattern on a laptop when you are out of the office, one
would have to manually download the pattern file then run the update.
Officescan can be configured to update from the server in the office as per
normal, but when out of the office it will check for an update from the
server, if the server is not available it will then check the Trend site for
the update automatically (obviously as long as you are connected to the
net!)

Maybe worth a look for your situation

Dear Sirs

Please advice on the following situation:

Our network is a lanof ten pcs, working with windows 2000 as the
operaqting system. One server and nine clients.

The problem is that we get many emails including ones from our
regular customers, that are infected with klez.h, klez.e worms and with
win cih and type 32 viruses. we tried a group of top brand antiviruses
but they failed to provide protection and viruses still infect and
circulate in our pcs.

what do u suggest we do ? firewall, other?

Thank you
