I like that idea, but if something really simple is desired, you can use
"DIR *.MP3 /S > MP3LIST.TXT" (can run it as a scheduled task) to get a
list of all of them, and "DEL *.MP3 /S" to delete them all.

I have this in place at a site I look after.

Robocopy runs in move mode, with a file selection list, runs via a batch
job from task scheduler.

Runs at midnight each night, and moves the files off of the user file
store, into an area that can be reviewed and restored by the office
admin.

Works like a dream !

Ara,

Have you looked into NTP quoata and file sentinel. We used it before,
but not happy with it since we had trouble using the email notification.
Now we are switching to R2, because its free and email notification
works.

Hello everyone

Any suggestions for software that I can use for controlling on what
users store on file server? (No music, video, etc) I know R2 comes with
a tool but that is not an option. Also I looked at VERITAS storage exec.
Any other good choices?
