Nah - that was a vague reference to an old conversation we had with Tim
where he went off on the "if you're reading this" nonsense.

It was supposed to illustrate Tim smacking me mid-sentence...

Sorry about that.

When switching over to FiOS I forgot to whack the smart host settings on
Exchange. :)

That's awesome... I've already got the O/S and SQL covered (I
believe)...

Thanks again... I don't know what I would do without you guys (and
ladies)...

Your friend,

ISA is licensed per CPU socket.

It doesn't "count user beans" and so doesn't impose that restriction.

You should start here; http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/default.mspx
to sort out the Windows and SQL licensing questions.

I've got a client that wants me to setup connectivity for 20 users via
VPN for access to a private SQL2k5 Server.

What are the licensing requirements involved? For the OS, SQL, and ISA?
Do I need individual client access licenses?

Clients are XP and Vista and will be connecting directly to a ISA2k6
Server.

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

-Paul
