The problem was not with java applet , that worked fine..
It was with downloading java runtime plugin.. it wont install that .

Usually it's one or more of a few different things:
1) Basic authentication needs to be enabled on the ISA (if authentication is
being used). Digest is also good to disable when using the Sun Java plugin.
2) Java applets are trying to communicate directly with remote servers and
don't support proxying.
3) Java plugin proxy settings are misconfigured
What is in your logs for these requests?

I had the same problem this morning .. using auto config script..when I
disabled proxy, I was able to download.
Anyone knows the reason/solution ?

Hi to all
Please help me,
I have a problem with my isa server 2000.
Some Proxy clients need to reach a particular site and downloading a java
applet on their desktop.
Without the Isa proxy settings they can download this java applet and
authenticate theirselves in order to access a java application, with the
proxy settings enabled in IE the java applet download goes in timeout.
What can I do to resolve the problem?
