I know I don't accept files from others even my friends.  When I talked
with a friend who had the virus on their machine, immediately the BOT
popped in with the question to accept a file. I selected cancel and it
would not go away! And, the file transfer message kept coming up.

I had to close the window and when I talked with my friend again I did
not get the file acceptance.  But, kept getting the rolling message from
another user and not my friend all in the same window.

Still, I would not allow for file transfers from within MS Messenger.

You need to be running the firewall client,
    - have port TCP 1863 Outbound open as a protocol rule,
    with the following secondary connections,
        6891-6900 TCP out
        6891-6900 TCP in
        6901 TCP out
        6901 UDP Send Receive.

    You also need to modify the Firewall client application settings in
ISA as follows
    Add new Applications Setting
        - Application - msmsgs
        - Key - Name Resolution for local host
        - Value - P

As for the "Messenger BOTS" there is a virus out there that can infect
thru MS Messenger, but I
believe you have to authorize the file transfer first. And of course NO
ONE accepts file from
unknown users, or even from know users without prior discussions.  Right
:)
